Subject:FUNDING SUPPORT OF CFDB BY CHILHAM PARISH COUNCIL
QUESTION: Why does CFDB need funding from Chilham Parish Council >>>>> ANSWER: Before CFDB could claim the grant from the Kent Downs and Marshes Leader programme, all items must be paid for and evidence of payments made available. Therefore, arrangements needed to be made to cover these costs, assuming that it could be several months between paying for an item and receiving the grant payment. CFDB therefore obtained agreement from the PC to pay the invoices from Halcrow on the understanding that when the community engagement exercise completed, CFDB would receive the grant and this would fully reimburse the PC - this is documented in minutes of PC meeting on 4th June 2009.
